My Roots in Fitness & Wellness
I first fell in love with fitness as a kid. I grew up taking care of horses, mucking stalls, tossing hay bales, and working out to my Mom's Buns of Steel tapes since we didn't have cable. My first job was working at a gym when I was 16 years old. I became a certified personal trainer by the time I was 18 and became a published health and fitness writer by the age of 20 years old.
I have been an elite athlete as well as a professional bodybuilder (IFBB Bikini Division). I started practicing and teaching meditation, yoga, mobility, and holistic health practices along with fitness after healing my personal health conditions.
Over the years I have embarked on various fitness journeys and immersed myself in many different forms of fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness practices. I have always considered myself to be a student of fitness and wellness, and ultimately of life. Even though it's been over a decade in the industry I feel there is still so much to learn and I love that! The journey never ends.
